COMMUNITY CENTRE SUB-COMMITTEE

We all enjoy our Community Centre but tend to take it for granted.  Many sub-committees and individual residents are involved in organising the activities that happen in the Centre each day.  The Community Centre Sub-Committee, consisting of six members, ensures the smooth running of activities by:

 

· Overseeing the hiring of parts of the Centre by residents for private functions.

· Reporting any required maintenance to management.

· Ensuring that the gas bottles are filled for barbecues.

· Setting up the amplifying system for Forum or other activities.

· Organising the purchase of any equipment approved by the Residents’ Committee. 

· Ensuring that the carpet is cleaned.

· Dealing with any problems that arise.

The Community Centre Sub-Committee usually meets once a month, a few days before the Residents’ Committee meeting, to discuss how the Centre is running and to identify any items which need to be brought to the Residents’ Committee’s attention.
