February 2011 half day village outing

Waking up to the sound of rain on  15th  February was not really what we all had anticipated, but by keeping a positive mind and thinking of a nice day, fine weather with just a few clouds became a reality by 9.30 in the morning.

Visiting the Wildflower Place was a relaxing experience and we all enjoyed the beautiful plants as well as the stunning range of giftware the nursery had to offer.

After about thirty minutes, we continued with Dave, our bus driver, to Crackneck Point Lookout at Bateau Bay where we observed the magnificent view, with a soft sea breeze blowing.

We continued our trip stopping at Swadling Park, Toowoon Bay, where we enjoyed morning tea, with a delicious piece of cake topped with cream and strawberries. The picnic area of Swadling Park is a great place to walk around and later David took us down to the beach where we spotted the beachside, exclusive Kims Hideaway Resort .

We returned home via Ken Duncan’s Gallery known for the excellent, exclusive landscape photography. The gallery does have packages for groups of more or less than 20 people and it might be an interesting morning out for a future bus trip.

We were back at 12.30 at the Village.
