Halloween Costume Dinner
The photos will tell the storey:
There were 62 residents at the Halloween Costume dinner
in the Alloura Waters wonderfully decorated auditorium on October
15th 2011.
Everyone joined in and helped make it a night to remember showing again
that Alloura Waters is a great friendly village to live in. If laughing
is good medicine we have received a great booster injection from the
night.
Witches, ghouls, skeletons, some mixed up devilish types, a pirate, a
nurse, a Mister pumpkin head, lots of great wigs and many other costumes
ranging from the elegant to the horrifying came through the door. Many
were unrecognisable until they spoke, to try to judge the best was
impossible and everyone that came in costume deserved a prize, so many
were given out.
Accessories included a poisoned apple, Trident pitch forks, flashing
rings, and witches cauldrons with treats and a nurse’s tool box with a
syringe, enema pack, and a cork to plug holes.
The wall decorations included Pumpkins, Bats, Spiders and their webs and
Skeletons and were very effective as shown in the photos. Barry Barker’s
hanging Witch that
moved
when you clapped must nearly have been worn out.
The Time Warp and Chicken Dance competitions were interesting although
the quality of the instructor left a lot to be desired. We all had a
practise to a video on the TV. beforehand.
Very great thanks to ALL who helped, and Julie for her leadership,
catering by Tukka Time, and the friendship from everyone.
