INNER WHEEL AUSTRALIA Objects of Inner Wheel To promote true friendship To encourage the ideals of personal service To foster international understanding Inner Wheel began in 1924 in Manchester England when a group of wives of Rotarians banded together in friendship and to support their husbands. Since then it has grown into the second largest International Club in the world and has representation at meetings of the World Health Organisation. Wives and womenfolk of Rotarians, past and present, are eligible for membership and it is of special significance to, and fills a great need for, the widows of Rotarians. In Australia there are 15 Districts, made up of area clubs, all working together for the benefit of the community and for overseas humanitarian projects. On the nearby Central Coast there are very active clubs in Gosford, Gosford North, Terrigal, Toukley and Wyong. International friendships abound and members have formed a very worthwhile association with clubs in Australia and overseas.
