LIBRARY SUB-COMMITTEE DUTIES

·       The Village has a library containing books, including large print, tapes, DVD’s and a computer.

·       The Library Sub Committee consists of 5 residents who volunteer their time to attend to the Library and the Library Room.

·       On a rostered basis the Sub Committee members open and close blinds and library windows daily, monitor library usage by recording returns, assist with the receipt of new books, stamping, dating and entering, assist with the removal of unwanted books and arrange for the repair of damaged books.

·       The Library maintains an up-to-date alphabetical list of all books held in the Library and purchases books and DVD’s using levy funds as budgeted, noting residents’ requests for new books.

·       The Sub Committee meets monthly and reports to the Residents Committee and the Residents Forum.
