MAH JONG

The game of Mah Jong, introduced to the Village around 1998 by the late Peter Wilson and his wife Marie is a very ancient game. One of the theories concerning its origin is that it was played on Noah's Ark while another is that it was developed by Confucius.

What ever its true history, Mah Jong continues to attract players who are fascinated by this intricate and colourful game with its marked tile shaped pieces. It is played usually by four people each hoping to complete one of many hands and so call "Mah Jong".
