Meet the locals cruise (Milk & Paper Run) on the Hawkesbury River November 2011

What a wonderful day out this was. Thanks to all who supported this Travel Sub-Committee outing. After filling the 48 seater coach we had enough reserves to use Scenic Horizons commuter bus. A total of 60 of us enjoyed the beauty of the Hawkesbury River on a warm day, the large catamaran was  comfortable and well staffed by happy and friendly people. The food was good, and the bar was open. What else could we ask for!

The cruise took us to river-front homes along the river who's only access is by water. Places like Wobby Beach, Dangar Island, kangaroo point, Milsons Point, Milsons Passage, Bar Point and Fishermans Point and more. Newspapers were delivered by the crew to those residents that required them. We also cruised past other towns on the river like Spencer with it's rustic "Dunkirk Pub" under a tree on the riverfront.
