THE RETURNING OFFICER
The Returning Officer is appointed by the Residents Committee for 12 months.
He or she is an ex-officio non voting member of that Committee.
The Returning Officer conducts and manages ballots. This includes recruiting Assistant Returning Officers. Setting up the polling facility. The preparation and issuing of ballot papers and other forms and notices, and the counting and tallying of all votes.
