The card game Solo is believed to have originated in the Low Countries of Europe, coming to Britain in the late 19th century. It is now played in Australia and New Zealand.
The main object of all of
these the games is to bid the number of tricks you hope to take and, if
you succeed, to be paid in counters or money. Some rules are decided by the
players before the game. Generally there are 4 to 5 players, 1 or 2 packs of 52
