War Widows' Guild of Australia NSW Limited

"We all belong to each other. We all need each other. It is in serving each other and in sacrificing for our common good that we are finding our true life."

The Guild Motto (from a speech by King George VI)

The Guild is a self-help organisation of unique women who all suffered the loss of their husbands because of war.

Purpose:

to enable war widows in NSW to live their lives with dignity and support to meet their ongoing and emerging needs. We emphasise we are compassionate enablers, influencers and advocates, working with others rather than providing all services war widows need.

Vision:

a community of war widows in NSW whose interest are promoted and protected as their well being improves.

Values:
  1. The Guild belongs to the members and their expressed needs set the Guild's priorities.

  2. We strive to balance as fairly as possible meeting the needs of:

     Country and City members;

     Guild Club and Guild Social Club members;

     Guild Housing residents.
