Works Sub Committee Duties

•   Works Sub Committee meets twice per month to discuss Repair and Maintenance issues. They are to ensure that requests are acted on promptly, that the resident’s money is well spent, and the village is free of safety hazards.

• The Sub Committee members keep an eye on the Repair &Maintenance issues around the village and bring feedback from Residents on outstanding issues or new issues that should be considered.

•  The Sub Committee liaises with the Finance Sub Committee on the payment of repairs, and discusses the issue of repair vs replacement with the Village Manager, to make recommendations to the Residents Committee.

• The Works Sub Committee also recommends to the Residents Committee on any costs which may need to be included in the annual budget for Repairs & Maintenance and Capital Works.

• The Works Sub Committee does not have a role in actually repairing things – this is the role of the Operator.
